I was a picky eater as a kid at the time we didn’t know why i avoided certain foods mainly because they hurt my stomach. Later i was diagnosed with crohns and doctors said i was protecting myself but i still wish i wasn’t as stubborn back then to try new things. I also understood how he felt i had cafeteria workers giving me a hard time about eating the vegetables i also felt huge pressure later to eat food even though my stomach had shrunk and everything i ate made me sick.

I wish my family was understanding, I am 14 years old now, but my parents would showed me that if I was traumatized and asked "Are you stupid?" they would say so and so..

As someone who cannot eat sour food well (I can't even try most fruits, pickles, or tomato sauce without feeling that looming dread), I relate heavily to this. Because of the whole "Children need vitamins" thing, I was forced to eat fruits that are sour, without complaints or leftovers. Now my repulsion toward certain foods have gotten duller, but I tend to avoid snacks or juice with the same flavor of those fruits- even if they're not sour, the ghost of that sourness rests in my tongue still. Cannot believe I'm traumatized by a certain type of taste, but it is what it is.

I never had problems eating veggies, I really liked them as a kid, but my god - I really felt that kid's struggle. And the "mouth line" snapping - brilliant.

if you want to make your child eat vegetables...easily i have few things to say. make carrot cake! make a healthy soup. my Siblings LOVE carrot cake. don't force them. just tell them how the vegetables makes the kids healthy so they could play more uwu. idk if it work with anyone

I was scared of eating meat as a kid, so i finished most of a drumstick before throwing it away. My dad took it from the trash, rinsed it, and forced me to finish it. Only made the problem worse from then on out :/
